ABOUT THE eTA
Since March 2016, certain visa-exempt foreign travelers may need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to travel to Canada by air.
The eTA is an authorization linked electronically to the traveler's passport. It is generally required to board a flight to Canada or to transit through the country.

eTA VALIDITY
In most cases, an eTA can be valid for up to five years or until the passport's expiration date, whichever comes first.
